We’re working with a highly regarded independent firm in Leeds that’s growing steadily and offering a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join their expanding team.

The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of accounts and tax returns, supporting junior staff, and acting as a key point of contact for clients. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in advisory work and business development as the firm continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Managing your own client portfolio and maintaining strong relationships
- Reviewing work of junior team members and providing feedback and support
- Assisting clients with queries, software, and general accounting advice
- Supporting partners with ad hoc advisory and planning projects
- Ensuring compliance with deadlines and professional standards
- Helping drive process improvements and embracing cloud technology
About You
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Strong background in an accountancy practice environment
- Confident managing client relationships and reviewing work
- Good knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax, and VAT
- Proficient with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Proactive, professional, and keen to contribute to a collaborative team culture
