We’re partnering with a respected independent accountancy practice in Huddersfield that’s looking to add an Audit Associate to its growing team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to gain hands-on audit experience, work directly with a wide range of clients, and receive full study support and mentoring from experienced professionals.

The Role

As an Audit Associate, you’ll assist with planning and completing audit assignments, working closely with Audit Seniors and Managers to deliver high-quality service to clients across multiple industries. You’ll gain exposure to all aspects of audit and accounts preparation, building a strong technical foundation as you progress towards qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments
  • Carry out audit fieldwork, testing, and analytical procedures under supervision
  • Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies and partnerships
  • Support senior team members in delivering to client deadlines
  • Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Keep up to date with changes in audit and accounting standards

About You

  • Studying towards ACA/ACCA or AAT with a desire to progress further
  • Some experience in audit or general practice 
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Confident using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or CCH
  • A proactive approach with a positive attitude towards career development
